Description click to view larger image The KOBOLD TDA Series digital temperature sensor incorporates the latest sensing technology into a very versatile, simple-to-operate package. Output span, dampening and lockout code are programmable from a keypad on the controller. The heart of the sensor is a semiconductor sensing element, which sends a digital temperature signal to the processor in 1.0°F increments. The processor displays temperature and provides a 4-20 mA output proportional to temperature along with an optional NPN or PNP switch. This temperature sensor ensures a long life with minimal drift. Along with a rugged stainless steel housing, these features make the TDA ideal for tough industrial applications. The sensor is available with the controller mounted directly onto the sensing probe or separated for mounting the probe remotely from the controller. Various probe lengths are available. The remote probe version has a smooth shank (no fitting), allowing the user to adjust the probe insertion depth through installation with a compression fitting sold as an accessory item. It can be used for any application in which temperatures must be monitored and controlled. The sensor element is a semiconductor that outputs a digital signal to the electronics in 1.0°F steps. The measured values are shown on a 3-digit LED display. The analog output can be adjusted as required within the measuring range. Common applications include compressors, mechanical and plant engineering, and pumps.
