Domed hexagon nuts, sometimes referred to as acorn nuts, are a very safe alternative as they encapsulate any sharp edges on screw threads and also look great. Effectively a plain full hex nut with a domed cap and suitable for metric screws and bolts of the same thread diameters. This set contains a comprehensive selection of M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8 (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm & 8mm thread) nuts. A2-70 stainless steel, also known as 304 or 18/8 grade has great weather resistance and longevity. It can be used in all outdoor conditions apart from where consistent exposure to either salt water or sewerage is expected.
